Melanie is a vampire, not much more to say about that, really. Despite the fact that she looks maybe 18-20 years old, her 300th birthday’s coming up in about 15 years. She does not like the fact that she looks so young, especially since she’s just as much of a cornerstone to the monster community as Stheno and Ailbhe.

Melanie runs a crematorium, which gives her plenty of excuses to be goth and provides a perfect explanation for where the blood she drinks comes from to people who are weird about it. More recently, it’s also become the source of Mateo's meals, though if he ever ran out, Melanie would not be above finding an alternative, temporary source for him. They’re pretty close.
